MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay at home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS is for mothers of children birth through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. MOPS offers moms the opportunity to share concerns, explore areas of creativity, and hear information on topics that equip them for the responsibilities of family and community.
A typical MOPS meeting features a speaker presenting information on topics such as marriage, parenting, discipline, realtionships, nutrition, health and spiritual growth. The presenation is usually followed by small group discussion and/or a creative activity or craft. We always start out the meeting w/ plenty of refreshments!
While moms relax and refresh, the MOPPETS program lovingly cares for their children.
Our MOPS group meets at Knightdale Baptist Church. Meeting times are posted on the Calendar page and on the Meeting Information page. Registration is required for MOPS and MOPPETS.
